About Me

My name is Steve Hazelden and I have been involved in the Communications /  IT  industry since leaving school, too many years ago now.
I started my working life as a "Post Office" Technician, in the days before Telkom. After leaving there I dabbled in the property industry for a while, mainly in the commercial sector but could still not keep out of IT.

I subsequently then worked for, and then later opened my own computer shop in Somerset West. The company ICS2000 grew enormously and we decided to shut down the hardware side of things to focus on software development especially for the Internet in the early days of the Internet.

I helped Stephen Davies of the then “Internet Africa” to set up the first point of presence outside of Cape Town, which we ran from the Somerset Mall. Boy how things have changed since those days!

I have always tried to keep up to date with the latest in software and Internet technologies and to that end spent many years both privately lecturing as well as lecturing almost full time for Netscope training . Teaching mainly Adobe products and Web development and database technologies, but also had the mis-fortune of having to teach more than a few A+ courses.

I also wrote a weekly Internet column for a number of years in the Somerset West, District Mail. I have spoken at many Rotary and other functions, including an art society function showcasing the importance of computers and the Internet in art today.

I take great pride in my work and have built up a great reputation over my years in the industry. Most of my new clients are referred to me and clients seem to turn into friends or colleagues as we work side by side to provide the best possible service or product at all times.

Our clients are our business and we do not take that commitment lightly.

Drop me a line or call me for advice on where and what you need!

Steve :-)
